White Sox Win TOC Title

Coach Granger’s White Sox team won the TOC championship with a 19-4 victory over the Horizon Indians on Thursday night.  The Sox broke open a close game with a 13-run sixth inning.   Tanner Pixley and Dakota Oakley combined to shut down the Indians on the mound.  Nathan Granger led the way offensively with two home runs.  Tanner Pixley also homered, adding to his league-leading total.  Congratulations to the White Sox for bringing home the league’s second TOC championship banner!!

White Sox advance to the TOC Championship Game

The Cactus Foothills South White Sox continued their march through the Tournament of Champions with a 9-4 victory over the PV North Orioles last night.   Nathan Granger and Tanner Pixley combined to shut down a potent Orioles offense.   Late game doubles by Tanner Dimond and Nate Williams helped seal the victory for the Sox.  With last night’s victory, the White Sox advance to the TOC Championship Game.   The Sox will play the Horizon Indians for the title on Thursday night at 7:00pm at Shadow Mountain (3602 East Cholla).  Please come out and support the Sox as they attempt to bring home the League’s second TOC championship banner!

TOC Playoff Results & Recap

Games 1: Pirates fall to Red Sox 5-0

Gavin L, Jackson M and Dylan S helped lead the Red Sox. They combined for five hits and three RBIs.

The Red Sox built upon their lead with two runs in the third. Jackson's solo blast got things going. That was followed up by Gavin's solo home run.

Game 2: The White Sox fifth-inning burst enough to top the Red Sox, 11-1

The Cactus Foothills South LL Majors White Sox rolled over the Red Sox 11-1 on Thursday after a seven-run rally in the fifth inning.

The Cactus Foothills South LL Majors White Sox scored in the fifth on an RBI double by Tanner P, an RBI single by Jaden N, a sacrifice fly by Tanner D, an RBI double by Jacob B, an RBI single by Grant R, and a two-run single by Aiden B.

 Jaden racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Cactus Foothills South LL Majors White Sox.

Tanner P's six strikeouts helped the Cactus Foothills South LL Majors White Sox to the victory. Tanner P allowed no earned runs on four hits and three walks over 4 2/3 innings.

Gavin L was charged with the loss. He lasted just four innings, walked five, struck out nine, and allowed four runs.

The lead stayed with the Cactus Foothills South LL Majors White Sox after the first, when they scored four runs on an RBI single by Jaden.

TOC 2014

Tomorrow night (5/22) will be a great night of baseball at Horseshoe Trails.   We will have 2 playoff games in the Majors division that will determine our League Champion and the team that will represent CFS in the Tournament of Champions.   For the first time, we will also have a playoff game to determine our regular season League Champion in the AAA division.     If you are looking for something to do tomorrow night, please come out to the field.  This will be a great night for our League.  

Thursday Night Schedule

 

North Field (Majors)

5:15pm              Pirates v. Red Sox (this game will determine the winner of the second half of the season)

 

7:15pm              Pirates/Red Sox winner (second half winner)  v.  White Sox (first half winner)      This game will determine our League Champion in the Majors Division and our TOC representative

 

 

South Field  (AAA)

7:00pm              Blue Rocks (13-3)  v.  Dragons  (13-3)      This game will determine our regular season Champion in the AAA Division.

Angels TOC Game Recap

The Angels drop 3-0 game to the Dodgers(north) despite efforts of Tyler Phillips.


Tyler Phillips did all he could to give the Angels a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past the Dodgers, as the Angels lost 3-0 in six innings at Nancie lane park on Monday.


Tyler paced the Angels at the plate. Tyler went 1-1. He singled in the third inning.


The Dodgers never trailed after scoring one run in the first on a solo home run by Nathan.

2013 TOC Representative

Congratulations to the Angels!

They will represent CFSLL at the District Tournament of Champions starting on June 14.


Their first TOC game is June 17th, 745pm at Nancie Lane Park (36th St and Cholla).
